It recently came to my attention that there’s a Magnolia Bakery a few blocks away from my office. It also occurred to me that, despite the hype, I had yet to sample any Magnolia Bakery goods. So when the opportunity came up for an MB run, I was all over it. Internet, let me tell you that their banana pudding is amazingly tasty. Rich and creamy and cakey and banana-y. Check it out:

This completely made my Friday afternoon. Mid-afternoon food coma and Friday afternoon antsy-ness were teaming up on me, totally kicking my butt. But I fought back with a healthy dose of yum.

Did I mention it was tasty? Don’t tell anyone, but I also licked the lid clean when no one was watching. I’m smooth like that.

AND it was almost 7pm at that point. Thank the heavens for Daylight Savings!

Weekend plan is to finish filing my taxes and daydream of banana pudding and sunshine. I can live with that (OK, maybe not the taxes).
