The Sahara
It’s strange for me to think that just a little over a week ago, I was in the Sahara Desert. It was in the list of top things I wanted to do while we were in Morocco because, dude, Sahara Desert! Endless sand and camels! I get excited about these types of things easily. I blame it on growing up in the suburbs. (One of our friends, J, was excited for another reason: camel burgers! But that’s a story for another time.)
It’s not every day you get to fall asleep under a perfectly starry night sky in the Sahara.

And waking up to a sight like this.

A view of our camp from the sand dunes:

My camel had a mullet. And that is how he got his name. I’m so creative, I slay myself.

The other half of our travel troop. You can spot J up front atop the camel he affectionately named “Dinner”.

The other half of our travel troop. Also featured are camels Omar Sharif and F Train.

More sand! E says this reminds him of a MS wallpaper background. It sort of does, but I still like it…

Camel footprints and Mullet’s, er…, mullet.

And then we were back to civilization.
Photo organization is coming along slowly but surely. More photos soon!
