For the Love of Music
Music has done so much to get me through some of the hardest times of my life.
I have fond memories of my dad playing his records (real records that spun on record players with needles…such nostalgia) when I was little. I grew up with the likes of Carole King and Don McLean crooning in my ear and I have fond memories of my dad and those records.
And we didn’t just listen to music. We made it too. My dad and his guitar. Me and my violin. He was the one who instilled a love of music in me. Even today, there’s rarely a time when he’s not tinkering on that guitar.
Music is the constant. It’s the glue. It helps us relate to each other. And I truly do believe it’s what will hold the steady beat as we round the corner to some more hard times.
